Hi, all,
I am working on my dissertation on the development of the Holy Week liturgies in the Episcopal Church. A very important part of this largely untold story is the grassroots rites parishes and communities put together and used before offici...
I´m intrigued by your ThD research nad now that I have time to play, can offer help, particularly the celebrations of of Holy Week in the RC church from Pius XII through Vatican II. I have always wondered to what degree the drafters were aware of existing RC Reforms. BTW, people with good memories are: Michael Merriman (APLM) Robert Brooks (APLM) and maybe Jean Campbell (APLM) Louis Weil is also knowledgeable, esp. of the processes leading to the Baptismal and Ordination rites.
Yes, it amazes me, too, how little work has been done on this. Though, I suppose, it is to be considered "recent history." How far along are you in your research? You may want to float some of your findings by the APLM community through an OPEN article or, if you are still in the early stages, initiating an online discussion. I know that there are folks in APLM who were involved directly in various stages of the work you are investigating and/or connected to those who were.
Your topic is one of particular interest to me, and probably to many others, too -- especially at this time of year. Can you tell us a little about your research?
